The MIT Executive MBA is a rigorous program for experienced executives looking to gain a new edge in their career, create a world-class network, and learn cutting-edge methods to analyze and solve complex problems.
Recognizing that many executives cannot take an extended leave of absence for a traditional full-time MBA, MIT Sloan offers this MBA degree program on a 20-month, periodic residency basis. The MIT Executive MBA program therefore offers a part-time complement to our world-renowned full-time, mid-career offering, the MIT Sloan Fellows Program in Innovation and Global Leadership.
Globally recognized for producing groundbreaking leaders and transformational change in business innovation, MIT Sloan designed this program to redefine the mid-career MBA experience and outcome.
Learning is action-based, and action-driven, with immediate application to each participant’s current business opportunities. And although the curriculum covers a variety of required subjects, there remains considerable scope for customization.
All participants have a demonstrated area of professional excellence. They come from science, engineering, government, non-profits, finance, and the military; from multi-national corporations and emerging start-ups, from North America and from countries around the globe.
The MIT Executive MBA program brings 60 hand-selected participants together with the MIT Sloan faculty on-site in Cambridge for an executive schedule: four week-long integrated learning modules, 26 Friday-Saturday iterative learning modules, and a one-week international action learning project trip. Immersed in the culture of MIT Sloan, participants are surrounded by inspiration, ideas, energy, and merit. Class work extends outside the on-campus experience to projects applied to current business challenges.
The MIT Executive MBA program creates a rigorous, collaborative, and elite forum of innovators and leaders. Participants will develop new ways to think about their decisions, their businesses, their personal impact, and themselves. At the same time, they build a network that lasts a lifetime.
